Bill Mundell served for nine years, 1999-2008, on the Arizona Corporation Commission. As he chaired the Commission, Arizona became one of the first states to require utilities to generate a percentage of their electricity from renewable energy sources. Those early decisions laid the groundwork for the enactment of the statewide Renewable Energy Standard Tariff (REST), which was principally authored by Bill Mundell.
